Why Jennifer

More than your real estate agent.

Most moves require four different people who each understand one piece: the agent, the lender, the contractor, the person who handles protection. None of them see the whole picture, and the gaps between them are where deals get expensive.

Jennifer’s experience spans all four. One conversation, one strategy, one person accountable for how the pieces fit together.

Where I work

Local knowledge. East Bay expertise.

Bay Area micro-markets change block to block. Knowing which streets appraise, which houses hide a project, and how a lender will read the neighborhood is the difference between an accepted offer and a wasted month.

Reviews

In their words.

  • We first worked with Jennifer when we bought our home a few years ago, so when it was time to sell, we knew who to call. She helped us figure out what improvements were worth making and how to price the home. We always felt informed, and the whole process went smoother than we expected.

  • I honestly didn’t know much about buying a house when I started looking. Jennifer explained everything without making it feel complicated. She helped me understand what I could afford, what to watch out for, and what I needed to do before making an offer. I felt a lot more confident having her there.

  • A friend recommended Jennifer to us, and I’m glad they did. The Bay Area market was pretty stressful, and there were a few homes we missed out on, but she kept us focused. When the right house came up, she helped us put together a strong offer and walked us through everything after it was accepted.

  • Jennifer helped us sell our house and was very straightforward about what we should do before putting it on the market. She didn’t try to make us spend money on things that weren’t necessary. She kept us updated once offers started coming in and helped us choose the one that made the most sense for our family.

  • This was actually our second time working with Jennifer. She helped us with our first home, and years later we came back when we needed something bigger for our family. She remembered what was important to us and made the search feel much easier. We would definitely work with her again.

Rachel & James L.Home Buyers • Repeat Clients
  • What I appreciated most was how honest Jennifer was. There were a couple of houses we liked where she pointed out issues we hadn’t noticed. She never made us feel like we needed to buy something just to get the deal done. It felt like she was actually looking out for us.

    Chris A.Home Buyer • First-Time Client
  • Jennifer helped us sell our old home and buy our new one, which could have been really stressful trying to coordinate both at the same time. She kept everything organized and made sure we knew what was happening at each step. We’ve worked with her more than once now and would absolutely do it again.

  • My brother had worked with Jennifer before and recommended her to me. She was easy to talk to and answered all of my questions, even the ones I probably asked more than once. She helped me understand both the real estate and financing side, which made the whole process feel a lot less overwhelming.

Common questions

The things people ask before they call.

If yours is not here, ask it — there is no charge for a question.

What areas do you serve?
The East Bay, with regular work in San Ramon, Hercules, Richmond, Pinole, El Cerrito, Albany and Berkeley, plus the greater San Francisco Bay Area.
What does a first conversation cost?
Nothing. The initial consultation is free and carries no obligation. You leave with a clearer picture of your options whether you move this month or next year.
Do I need 20% down to buy a home in the Bay Area?
Not necessarily. Several loan programs allow far less, and CalHFA — California’s state housing finance agency — runs down payment assistance programs. What you qualify for depends on your situation, so that conversation belongs with a lender. Jennifer can explain how the options differ before you have it.
Do you handle the mortgage as well?
No. Real estate services and mortgage lending are separate services provided by separate licensed professionals. Jennifer is a licensed real estate Broker Associate, not a lender, and does not originate loans. What she does is explain the financing side of the process so you can choose a lender and a loan with your eyes open.
Can you help with a home that needs renovation?
Yes — it is one of the things that sets this practice apart. Jennifer’s construction experience means she can read what a property actually needs during the offer window, and she can explain the loan programs built for it, including FHA 203(k) and construction-to-permanent financing.
What is the difference between pre-qualification and pre-approval?
A pre-qualification is an estimate based on information you provide, unverified. A pre-approval means a lender has reviewed your actual documents. In a competitive market, listing agents take the second one seriously and largely discount the first.
Do you work with first-time buyers?
Yes, regularly. First-time buyers get the most out of a process that is explained in order rather than assumed, which is how this practice is set up to work.

Let’s begin

Your next move starts with a conversation.

Whether you’re buying, selling, financing, or planning for what comes after — a free consultation is the fastest way to understand your options. No pressure, no obligation.
